What’s coming in Beta 2

Some of this came directly from teacher feedback. All of it is built around the same principle: AI-assisted, teacher controlled.

Planning tools
  • Unit planner: Build full units, not just individual lessons. Connected lessons, aligned assessments, shared arc.
  • Multi-grade support: Grade-specific content side-by-side with parallel tasks for split-grade classrooms.
  • Improved Planning Wizard: Less bulk, faster to complete. Expanded Learner Considerations with multi-IEP support, ELL levels, enrichment, and behaviour/SEL strategies.
Student-facing materials
  • 270+ components and counting: Worksheets, exit tickets, activities, assessments, and more.
  • Auto-formatted by grade: Every student-facing document adjusts font size, sentence length, scaffolding, and visual supports. K–12.
  • CARL suggests components based on your lesson. Browse the library yourself, or build from scratch.
Curriculum & enhancements
  • Provincial modes: BC, Alberta, and Ontario, with province-appropriate language and planning structure.
  • Learning progressions: CARL is designed to be progression-aware in literacy and numeracy across K–12, helping keep outputs grade-appropriate and classroom-realistic.
  • On-demand enhancements: UDL, Equity, SEL, Trauma-Informed, and Indigenous Voice supports. You choose which ones to use, and when.
On responsiveness “Sam and Courtnay were amazing and were fixing things so quickly. They are total rockstars.”Rachel, K–2 classroom teacher, SD35 Langley
