Will students observe both melting and freezing?

They observe melting during the investigation. Freezing is discussed through the comparison, puddle prediction and exit questions.

What if the ice has not melted after 15 minutes?

Students record what they see. Ice size, water temperature and room temperature affect melting time; ice may remain at the final observation.
